Stumm Insurance is a family-owned business, which might help to explain why the company treats its employees like they, too, are kin.
“Since day one, our culture has been built upon our employees being the first priority,” Executive Vice President Jim Stumm says. “Not only do we enjoy working together, but we also appreciate getting to know each other on a personal level.”
To foster that collegial atmosphere, Stumm offers a substantial roster of perks and benefits, including daily free lunches; access to monthly Stumm University classes (to help staff beef up their industry knowledge); flexible working hours; a hybrid work schedule (staff come into the office three days a week and remain home for two, with an additional 12 work-from-home days offered each year); a “Game Ball” prize awarded to standout employees who go above and beyond for clients (complete with a gift card); and summer Fridays with shortened work hours.
